Power Scraper Pro handles TV shows with full support for seasons, episodes, and series-level metadata.

Adding TV Shows

Scan a Folder

Switch to TV Shows

Click TV Shows in the sidebar or press ⌘2.

Click Add Folder

Click the + button or press ⌘O.

Select Your TV Folder

Choose the folder containing your TV show folders. Typically structured as:

Power Scraper Pro detects shows, seasons, and episodes.

Supported Episode Formats

Power Scraper Pro recognizes multiple naming conventions:

Scraping TV Shows

Scrape a Show

  1. Select the TV show in your library
  2. Click Scrape or press ⌘R
  3. Power Scraper Pro fetches:
    • Show metadata (plot, cast, genres, rating)
    • Season information
    • Episode details (titles, air dates, plots)
    • Artwork at show, season, and episode levels

Multi-Source Scraping

TV show data comes from multiple sources:
  • TMDB — Primary source for show and episode metadata
  • Fanart.tv — Extended artwork (clearlogo, banner, etc.)

Artwork for TV Shows

TV shows have multiple artwork levels:

Show-Level Artwork

  • Poster
  • Fanart/Backdrop
  • Clearlogo
  • Banner

Season-Level Artwork

  • Season Poster (e.g., season01-poster.jpg)
  • Season Banner
  • Season Fanart
Enable all artwork types in Settings → Artwork → TV Shows to get the complete Kodi experience.

Missing Episodes

Power Scraper Pro shows you exactly which episodes you’re missing.

View Missing Episodes

  1. Select a TV show
  2. Look at the Missing Episodes section in the detail panel
  3. Episodes are listed by name, number, and air date

Understanding Episode Status

  • Aired — Episode has aired, you’re missing it
  • Upcoming — Episode hasn’t aired yet (shown with future date)
The Dashboard also shows missing episodes across all your shows in one view.

Season Completion

Each season shows a completion percentage:
  • 100% — You have all aired episodes
  • 85% — You’re missing some episodes
  • Season progress ring — Visual indicator of completion

Organizing TV Shows

Kodi-Standard Structure

Power Scraper Pro organizes TV shows as:

Renaming Episodes

  1. Select episodes or entire show
  2. Click Rename & Organize
  3. Preview changes
  4. Apply

Duplicate Detection

Power Scraper Pro can find duplicate episodes in your library.
  1. Go to Tools → Find Duplicates (or check the Dashboard)
  2. Review detected duplicates
  3. Choose which version to keep based on quality, size, or codec
  4. Delete the unwanted copies

Pro Tips

  • Expand/Collapse — Click the arrow next to a show to see seasons and episodes
  • Batch Scrape — Select multiple shows and scrape them all at once
  • Season View — Click a season to see only episodes in that season
  • Air Date Sorting — Sort episodes by air date to watch in release order
