Movie Collections
Power Scraper Pro automatically detects and groups movies into collections (franchises) like Marvel Cinematic Universe, Star Wars, or Harry Potter.
How Collections Work
When you scrape a movie that belongs to a collection, Power Scraper Pro:
- Detects the collection from TMDB metadata
- Creates a collection entry in your library
- Shows which movies you own vs. which are missing
- Downloads collection-specific artwork
Viewing Collections
Collections Tab
- Click Collections in the sidebar
- Browse your collections as cards or list
- Click a collection to see details
Collection Details
Each collection shows:
- Collection poster and backdrop
- Total movies in the collection
- Movies you own (with checkmarks)
- Movies you’re missing
- Completion percentage
Collection Artwork
Collections have their own artwork, separate from individual movie artwork:
- Collection Poster — Represents the entire franchise
- Collection Fanart — Backdrop for the collection
This artwork is stored in your configured collection artwork folder.
Setting Collection Artwork Folder
- Go to Settings → Scraper
- Set Collection Artwork Folder
- Artwork is saved as:
Collections/
├── Marvel Cinematic Universe/
│ ├── poster.jpg
│ └── fanart.jpg
└── Star Wars Collection/
├── poster.jpg
└── fanart.jpg
Multi-Collection Movies
Some movies belong to multiple collections. For example, a Marvel movie might be in:
- Marvel Cinematic Universe
- Individual hero collection (Iron Man Collection)
Power Scraper Pro handles this automatically, showing the movie in all relevant collections.
When you scrape movies, the NFO file includes collection information:
<set>
<name>Marvel Cinematic Universe</name>
<overview>The Marvel Cinematic Universe is...</overview>
</set>
Kodi reads this automatically to group movies in its interface.
Finding Missing Movies
Want to complete a collection? Power Scraper Pro shows you what you’re missing:
- Open a collection
- Look at the Missing section
- See movie titles, release years, and posters
- Use this as a shopping list for your collection
The Upcoming Releases feature also tracks unreleased movies in collections you own, so you know when new entries are coming.
