# Artwork Settings

Control which artwork types are downloaded and at what quality.

## Quality Levels

| Level    | Resolution      | Best For                      |
| -------- | --------------- | ----------------------------- |
| SD       | Up to 500px     | Low storage, slow connections |
| HD       | Up to 1000px    | Balanced (recommended)        |
| Original | Full resolution | Large displays, 4K TVs        |

## Movie Artwork Types

### Essential Artwork (TMDB)

| Type   | Filename     | Description                      |
| ------ | ------------ | -------------------------------- |
| Poster | `poster.jpg` | Main movie poster (2:3 ratio)    |
| Fanart | `fanart.jpg` | Background/backdrop image (16:9) |

### Extended Artwork (Fanart.tv)

| Type      | Filename        | Description                           |
| --------- | --------------- | ------------------------------------- |
| Clearlogo | `clearlogo.png` | Transparent logo for overlays         |
| Clearart  | `clearart.png`  | Character art, transparent background |
| Banner    | `banner.jpg`    | Wide banner (1000x185)                |
| Disc Art  | `discart.png`   | CD/DVD artwork                        |
| Landscape | `landscape.jpg` | 16:9 thumbnail with text              |
| Keyart    | `keyart.jpg`    | Poster without text                   |

  Enable **Clearlogo** and **Banner** for the best Kodi skin experience. Skins like Aeon Nox and Arctic Zephyr use these prominently.

## TV Show Artwork Types

### Show-Level Artwork

* Poster, Fanart, Clearlogo, Clearart, Banner

### Season-Level Artwork

* Season Poster (`season01-poster.jpg`)
* Season Banner (`season01-banner.jpg`)
* Season Fanart (`season01-fanart.jpg`)

## Artwork Preferences

### Replace Existing Artwork

* **On**: Overwrite existing artwork when re-scraping
* **Off**: Keep existing artwork, only download if missing

### Prefer Language-Specific

* **On**: Prefer artwork with text in your chosen language
* **Off**: Use any available artwork regardless of language

### Minimum Resolution

Set a minimum resolution for downloaded artwork:

* Artwork below this threshold is skipped
* Useful for ensuring quality on 4K displays
